My name is Jill Owen and I am a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working from a quiet and relaxing clinic in Knowle, Solihull
I have worked in the NHS for over 30 years, during which time I initially qualified as a Registered General Nurse. After gaining a degree in Social Sciences and Health Visiting I progressed to a Registered Health Visitor. The experience and knowledge gained during this period provided me with a good grounding in the medical profession. The use of Chinese medicine has always interested me and led me to train as an acupuncturist, graduating from The Acupuncture Academy with a Distinction for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also commended for the standard of my clinical work. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with taking a holistic approach towards you, as an individual.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority which is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.
My clinic is licensed by Warwick District Council and I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover. I can be contacted by calling 07790 966485, or through my Contact form at the top of the page.
