Jill Owen is a fully qualified, traditional acupuncturist working from a quiet and relaxing clinic in Knowle, Solihull.

She worked in the NHS for over 30 years, qualifying as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and a Registered Health Visitor (RHV). She took her first degree during this time in Social Sciences.

The experience and knowledge gained during her nursing career provided a good grounding in western medicine which has been invaluable to her training in Classical Chinese medicine. She graduated from the The Acupuncture Academy with a Distinction, for their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, which is a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board.  She was also commended for the standard of my clinical work. The training at the Academy is extensive and covers all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the Five Element approach.  Five Elements Acupuncture is a Classical holistic approach within Chinese Medicine to treating and maintaining health and wellbeing.

She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adheres to the Council’s strict Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. Only British Acupuncture Council members have met the standards to enable them to be registered with the Professional Standards Authority . This is a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers, and is accountable to Parliament.

She is licensed by Warwick District Council and holds a full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance.
